Volunteer boards are not only in Quebec. In Ontario too, condominium corporations are run without a manager, by directors who keep the records, send the notices to owners, follow the reserve fund and call the meetings. CondoAide is getting ready for them.
What changes for Quebec syndicates
Nothing. CondoAide still follows the Civil Code of Québec, Law 16 and Law 25, and French remains its first language. Your syndicate, your data and your tools stay the same.
The one visible change: the language choice at the top of the site's pages becomes a choice of region and language, with "Ontario · English" marked "Coming soon".
What is open in Ontario today
- A page in English, condoaide.ca/ontario, that presents what we are preparing for Ontario boards and offers a waitlist. Signing up is confirmed by email, and every message has an unsubscribe link.
- Five guides in English on Ontario law, each with the section of the Act behind every rule: the periodic information certificate, the Notice of Future Funding, virtual meetings and electronic voting, arrears and the condo lien, and running a self-managed corporation. They are gathered at condoaide.ca/ontario/guides.
What is not there yet
Ontario accounts are not open. An Ontario corporation needs Ontario's rules, forms and terms: the Condominium Act, 1998 and the Condominium Authority of Ontario's forms. We are building them in before opening sign-ups, and no date is announced.
Know a board in Ontario?
Send them condoaide.ca/ontario. People on the waitlist will hear first, and their answers help us decide what to build first.
