A syndicate with three buildings used to face a tedious job: create each building by hand, then move its units into it one by one. Yet the declaration of co-ownership already holds the answer, since every fraction carries its civic address.
Buildings proposed from the addresses
In the "Declaration" tab of "Syndicate settings", the declaration review now has a "Buildings" panel. From the fractions' civic addresses, CondoAide proposes the syndicate's buildings, each with its civic numbers and the list of its fractions, their lot number and the page of the deed where to check them.
Addresses do not say where each building ends, so the board checks each proposal. It can correct a name or the numbers, remove what is not a building, or "Divide" a line that groups two. "Create these buildings" adds them to the syndicate and places the fractions in them.
New fractions and existing units
- New fractions are placed in their building before they are even created: "Place by address" spreads them out, and the board checks each choice before aligning CondoAide with the declaration.
- Existing units are placed with "Place the existing units", all at once, with an "Undo" button right after. They never change building any other way.
None of this changes the relative values.
The number of directors
The review also compares the number of directors the declaration provides for with the one recorded in CondoAide. The board can align it with the declaration in one click. When the declaration provides a range rather than an exact number, CondoAide does not pick one: the board records the number in force on the "Board of directors" card of the "Co-owners" page.
Move several units at once
On the units page, checkboxes let you pick several units, or every unit in the table, then send them to another building with "Move to a building". An "Undo" reverses the move.
No building limit per plan
A syndicate now records every building its declaration describes, whatever its plan. Adding a second building no longer asks you to change plans.
