Two new modules are now available in CondoAide to help syndicates manage two critical aspects of condo management: insurance claims and legal disputes.
Claims tracking
The claims module lets the board of directors record and track every insurance claim.
- Create a claim with its type (water damage, fire, theft, vandalism, etc.), the affected unit, and the building
- Track the status in real time: open, in progress, approved, denied, closed
- Record claimed amounts, approved amounts, and deductibles
- Attach documents (photos, expert reports, correspondence with the insurer)
- An automatic timeline traces every event and status change
- Co-owners see claims that concern them based on configured permissions
Litigations tracking
The litigations module covers court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and formal notices.
- Record each litigation with the procedure type, court, case number, and judicial district
- Identify the syndicate's role (plaintiff, defendant, intervener) and the opposing party
- Track claimed amounts, amounts at risk, and provisions
- Manage lawyer information (name, firm, contact details) and legal fees budget
- Use the legal fees progress bar to compare spending against budget
- Mark a litigation as resolved with the resolution type (judgment, settlement, mediated agreement, etc.)
- Internal notes remain visible only to board members
Dashboard
Both modules integrate with your syndicate's dashboard through dedicated cards showing the number of open claims and active litigations. One click takes you directly to the full list.
Attestation integration
Litigations marked as visible to co-owners and included in the attestation automatically feed into Section 12 (ongoing litigation) of the syndicate certificate. In the generation wizard, you can select which litigations to include and auto-generate the descriptive text.
Per-plan limits
- Free: 5 claims, 3 litigations, 2 documents per litigation
