Does CondoAide replace an external property manager?

No. CondoAide is software designed for self-managed syndicates. The platform gives you the tools to organize your meetings, finances, documents and obligations without relying on a manager. If your syndicate uses an external manager, CondoAide can also serve as a complement to centralize information.

Which Bill 16 obligations does CondoAide cover?

CondoAide helps you track Bill 16 deadlines, host the reserve fund study and maintenance log, plan contributions over 25 years and monitor your syndicate's overall status. Important: the reserve fund study and maintenance log must be prepared by qualified professionals (engineers, architects or technologists who are members of a professional order). CondoAide hosts and organizes these documents but does not produce them.

Can I migrate from another management tool?

Yes. You can import your existing data (documents, co-owner lists, financial information) when setting up your account. If you need help with migration, our team can assist you.

Is CondoAide bilingual?

Yes. The interface is available in French and English. Co-owners can choose their preferred language individually. Documents and communications can be written in the language of your choice.

How does the free tier work?

The free tier gives you access to core features for one syndicate, with no time limit and no credit card required. You can explore the platform, add your co-owners and test the main tools. When your syndicate is ready for advanced features (AI, full financial reports, attestation), you upgrade to a paid plan.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Data is hosted in Quebec: the application on Vercel (Montreal region) and the database on Supabase (AWS ca-central-1, Montreal), with daily backups kept in Quebec. Access is protected by authentication, and each syndicate has an isolated workspace. We never sell your data. We share it only with the processors needed to run the Service, all bound by contract and listed in our privacy policy.

How do we charge an expense (balcony, parking) to only some co-owners?

If the expense relates to a restricted-use common portion (PCUR) — balcony, terrace, assigned parking, locker — the Civil Code of Québec provides that only the co-owners who have the use of it contribute to that charge. Whether an element qualifies as a PCUR comes from your declaration of co-ownership. With the Advanced finances module, CondoAide applies the allocation key automatically: no parallel bookkeeping, and each co-owner receives a contribution notice showing only the charges that concern them.
