CSV Import: 6 Canadian Banks Supported

CSV is a first-class citizen in CondoAide. Import bank statements from Desjardins, TD, BMO, Banque Nationale, RBC, and Scotiabank — automatic format detection.

CSV is a first-class citizen in CondoAide. Upload the file exported from your bank and the system automatically detects the format, encoding, and columns — no manual configuration needed.

Supported Banks

  • Desjardins AccèsD — Retrait/Dépôt split columns, semicolon separator, Windows-1252 encoding
  • TD EasyWeb — Withdrawals/Deposits, MM/DD/YYYY dates
  • BMO Online — Signed single amount, compact YYYYMMDD dates
  • Banque Nationale — Débit/Crédit columns, metadata row automatically skipped
  • RBC Royal Bank — Description 1/CAD$, signed amounts
  • Scotiabank — Date/Description/Amount, signed format

CSVs from other Canadian banks (CIBC, Tangerine, Laurentian) also work thanks to automatic generic column detection.

What CondoAide Handles Automatically

  • Encoding — UTF-8, Windows-1252, Latin-1 auto-detected
  • Separators — comma, semicolon, tab
  • Date formats — YYYY-MM-DD, DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, YYYYMMDD
  • Amounts — French format (1 326,50), English format (1,326.50), negative sign or parentheses
  • Metadata rows — account headers (Banque Nationale, etc.) are skipped automatically

How It Works

  1. Go to FinancesTransactionsImport CSV
  2. Drag your file or click to select it
  3. CondoAide detects the bank and shows a transaction preview
  4. Review and confirm the import

Same workflow for imports in Payments, Reserve Fund, and Self-Insurance.
