Getting every co-owner to join the platform is often the biggest challenge when setting up CondoAide. Collecting emails, sending individual invitations, following up with non-responders — it's time-consuming and tedious.
QR Codes: An Invitation Under Every Door
Administrators can now generate a unique QR code per unit from the syndicate settings. Each code is printed on a ready-to-distribute PDF — slip it under doors, post it in common areas, or hand it out at a meeting.
How It Works
- Generate codes — One click on "Generate all codes" creates an invitation for every unit without a registered owner
- Download the PDF — A document with one page per unit, including the QR code, instructions, and a short URL for those without a smartphone
- The co-owner scans — They create their account in 30 seconds and are automatically assigned to their unit
Real-Time Dashboard
The QR invitations page shows the status of each unit:
- ✅ Registered — The co-owner has created their account
- ⏳ Pending — The code is active, not yet used
- ⚠️ Expired — The code expired after 90 days
Administrators can regenerate a code at any time (the old one is automatically revoked) and preview the QR directly in the interface.

- Each code is single-use — once redeemed, it no longer works
- Codes expire after 90 days
- Administrators can revoke a code at any time
- No sensitive data is exposed in the QR code
No Smartphone?
Each PDF page includes a short URL (e.g., condoaide.ca/j/J7KM3X) that the co-owner can type directly into their browser.
