The reserve fund study import knew exactly one format. A study produced by another firm was parsed anyway, found nothing, and displayed "No data found in this document". Nothing distinguished a format we could not read from a document that was genuinely empty.
Five firms recognized, and a refusal that says so
The import first identifies the firm behind the document, then applies the reading that matches its template:
- Legault-Dubois;
- Cossette & Touchette;
- Services Immobiliers LM;
- Hoodi;
- Nivoex.
A document that matches none of those templates is refused in plain words, with the list of formats we do read. If your firm is not on it, write to us and attach the study: we add its format.
A study delivered as several files
Some firms deliver the multi-year plan in one document and a funding scenario in another. You can now drop both at once: they are read as a single study, and the scenario from the second file joins those from the first. Every file must come from the same firm, otherwise the import refuses rather than interleaving two buildings.
Any catch-up horizon
The import is no longer limited to 1-year and 10-year catch-up scenarios. It reads the horizon the study actually proposes, whether that is 5, 7 or 15 years, and shows it as such in the scenario comparison.
Heavier files, and a replacement you confirm
The upload ceiling rises to 25 MB per document, the same limit as the register, because a study with photographs runs well past the old one. Where a study already exists, the import asks for confirmation before replacing it and names the one being replaced. The previous study stays in the register.
The import transcribes what your professional wrote; it does not produce the study. A reserve fund study must be carried out by a professional, and the fund remains the property of the syndicate (art. 1071 C.C.Q.).
